    Default Its Alive, Its Alive!!!!!!!

Finally got the long awaited radiator in last night. Installed it first thing this morning. My brother put some fuel in while worked on the radiator, and after crossing every finger we could get hold of, we tried to crank her over. She'd crank but not fire up. We weren't getting any fuel to the carb. I tried pouring a little fuel in the carb to no avail. About this time my brother had an idea. He said he could probably disconnect the fuel line at the carb, and suck gas up to the inline filter. I laughed at this idea but he quickly proved me wrong. After reattaching the fuel line we tried her one more, and Success I know, I know, I'm sure their was a better way of doing this, but this quick and easy. She runs pretty good, justs need a little adjustment to the carb. It does need a complete exhaust overhaul, and brake overhaul. We drove it the to brake shop using the emerg brake to slow down and stop. At this rate it won't be long before we'll be able to take out for a little hunting trip or just off-roading.

Brake shop?! Really? You've got to tell us all how they liked working on that!

Congrats on getting it running! It's sure a hoot, isn't it?

Would you believe it. The guy we took it to actually has experience working on M715's down in Mexico. What are the odds?. We would have done the brakes ourselves, but with our work schedule by the time we get off, and get the horses feed and the other chores done there isn't that much time left for anything else.

Its incredible. The truck runs a little rough, has old retreads, a completely shot exhuast system, and no brakes, but we crusied on down the road as happy as could be. I'm sure everybody heard us coming because we hooped and hollered all the way down to our friends feed store.
