Default Piecing together a brake system

    All,
I'm trying to put together a brake system for my 715 and I've run into a snag. It currently has the E250 van wheel cylinders and the corvette MC. Since I'm rebuilding the whole truck, I'd upgrade to power brakes. I got a holt of a booster and MC out of a wagoneer but it interferes with the V10 I'm installing. If I go the universal booster and MC route, I'll need to know what size bore the jeep MCs are. Does anybody have that info? I haven't been able to find it. Should I use the bore of a M715 factory MC or the bore of a the boosted MC? I'll need a smaller diameter MC but I think I'll probably wind up with a dual diaphragm. I'm sure your answers will generate more questions on my end. Thanks for the info!

If you have a Corvette MC and it works with what you have, why not go with the powered version of it?

A hydro boost upside down will work just fine in that position and might clear your V10. You will probably need to put a spacer/plug in the master cylinder shaft slot to let the hydro boost push rod connect to the master cylinder correctly.

Do you have the Jeep booster mount block? It is an angled wedge that actually tilts the master cylinder up a touch.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

It does have the aluminum spacer on the back of the diaphram. Does the corvette master cylinder have the right bore for the drums? I can't remember what year people recommend for that. is it the MC from a 74 corvette?

Nevermind, I found it. Looks like a MC from a 76 vette will work with the corvette booster. I'll get a proportioning valve and it should all be ok. hopefully. thanks fro the help.
