Thread: Dear Mr. Jeep,

    Default Dear Mr. Jeep,

(Moderators - if you need to move this please feel free)

Thought I might start a thread that allows myself and others to vent about some of the finer aspects of our beloved M715's design. (Poem not necessary)

    First up, the spare tire.

    Dear Mr. Jeep,

Today on my M715, I replaced my spare tire.
Busted back, bent extension and now I focus my ire.

Why did you make such a piece of crap?
I hoisted that sumbtch up and now I need a nap.

Can’t imagine replacing it on the side of the road,
Raining, traffic, out in the cold.

Did you ever give it a try?
Oh - look here, you found this happy GI:

He’s so happy you put him in the Quirks,
But I can’t really tell if that is a smile or a smirk.

So should a flat ever try and darken my day,
I say “to hell with that!” I’m calling Triple-A!

Next up - the rear brake line fittings at the wheel cylinder.
or maybe the rear engine oil line?

And the clearance between the steering wheel and the seat is clearly designed for a 19yo skinny butt private, not a full grown man.

Or using the windshield as a rear view mirror at night.
