    Default modern day radio reciever...

    anybody have knowledge on installing the newer military receivers? what would work with the m715?

    There are basically 2 radio types used in the 715, the tube type radios sets, and the transistorized ones which came out around 1967. The latest family of radios which came out around 2000 are never sold surplus. Actually most radio and electronics are no longer sold as other than destroyed scrap (for fear of who might use them). Any case the transistorized family is a popular radio choice for the 715, such as the an/vrc 12 for example. Under the header for manuals is the instalation instructions for that type.
