Thread: Need front axle measurement

    Default Need front axle measurement

I and doing a spring over on the front of my 715. Yesterday in the rush of things i cut the driver side perch off, then built up the axle tube where i got into it with the cutoff wheel, ground is smooth, and then realized i didnt measure the distance from the differential to that perch. So now I need to find that measurement or im in trouble. The way i am measuring it is from the lip where the axle tube fits into the differential housing to the nearest edge of the spring perch. If someone could give me this measurement it would be greatly appreciated. BTW it should be in the ballpark of 15-16 inches.

The top pad of the drivers perch is 15 3/4 inch from the point where the tube hits the center section.

The perch is wider at the top than the vertical sides...the vertial sides are 16 1/8 inch from the tube to center section juction.
