I got a call the other day from my uncle. Appearently, some guy that was leasing a hanger from my uncle left an engine hoist in it. He let me know that if I wanted it, all I had to do was come down and get it. The only caveat is that I have to let him use it if he decides to build a Lotus 7.

Looks like I HAVE to build a 383 small block for my truck now. I gotta use the hoist for something.

I'm heading down to the hanger tomorrow morning. My uncle is going to help me load it. Hopefully, we will have enough time to go flying before his aerobatics lesson.

Good score! Those things aren't getting any cheaper. I bought one about 10 years ago (a good one) and it was $300 then.

The lift is home.

When I am done with grad school, I am going to have to seriously look into thie "being rich" thing. Seems like a good way to live.

The Husky (modern Piper Cub) was being ferried back home from its annual inspection by my uncles aerobatics trainer. My Uncle is the guy in the yellow shirt.

I was hoping to be able to get in a flight before they had to be off, but there was not enough time. Hopefully soon. I really want to fly the husky - though I have little in-flight interest in the aerobatics plane. Too fast and twitchy, and I don't like being required to wear a parachute.
