    I haven't done the bearings yet, but that's coming soon. I topped off the hubs, checked the fluids and plugged the clutch drain, though.



    Brute4c was taken. That's the best I could do.

    The Lada Niva mechanicals are Russian made knock-offs of Italian designs. Fiat was involved with a number of Soviet era cars including Lada, Polski Fiat and the Yugo.

    The Niva is sort of a 4x4 mini Jeep Cherokee. Jeep purportedly based its Cherokee on Russian designs...

    There were two Ladas that rode on other vehicles frames. The orange one, nicknamed "Fiva", was built by the host. I think its on ford running gear from a 4x4 Ranger.
