Default help w/ US ARMY markings

a M715 just sold on ebay out of NJ

anyone know what the red "arrowhead" under the driver side red reflector on the tailgate is for? this "arrowhead" is also located on the pass. side of the front bumper, it is also above the amber reflectors on both sides of the bed.

anyone know if the white castles [front bumper, both cab doors and tailgate center] would be "official" and used by the Corp of Engineers?

anyone know what the HQ/28 on the drivers door is for?

4A – 28th Infantry Division (Keystone) 10/19/18 – Present. Organized 3/1879 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as Division of National Guard. Called to active duty 8/1917. The keystone is from the state seal of Pennsylvania. Alternate nickname “Bucket of Blood”. WWI campaigns: Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, Oise-Aisne and Meuse-Argonne.

The HQ28 means the truck was assigned to a headquarters unit - vehicle number 28.

The white castle is used as a Corps. of Engineers marking as you surmised.

Yep the old "Bloody Bucket" The 28th division today is the PA Army National Guard (though there are parts of the 28th division that are part of OH as well as NJ. You truck was used by engineers hence the castle and the back pumperett says it was assigned to Head Quarters 103rd Engineers. Most likely 103rd Engineer Battalion.
