    anyone off the top of their head have a part number for an oil filter? also will any break fluid work or is there a certain type to be used in the m715 230 engine?

    Default part numbers

    DOT 3 or 4 will work fine...DOT 3 is the most common in America.
    For the filter, the Fram number is PH8A...but dont use Fram unless you want the cheapest piece of garbage for a filter made....go to Napa and have them cross the Fram number to their brand....if I could walk outside right now, I would get it for ya....also the WIX brand is real good.

    The 230 uses the same filter as Ford V8's have from the mid '60's to a few years ago. Just tell them you need a filter for a '85 Ford truck with a 351.
    Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

    I think the NAPA gold filter is 1515. Double check that though, cause it's been a while.

    and wix is 51515 wix makes napa filters just add prefix # to napa filter. oil filters carry the prefix of "5"

    got the napa filter and brake fluid last night and replaced them. anyone know the part number for the air filter?

    Which air cleaner you got....the small carb mounted one or the big underhood one?
    I think they cab mounted one is listed in the parts list in the online manuals link...not sure on the other....

    There is a part number for that air cleaner in the parts list.
