Dont know where you can get springs for the stock setup...would think if they have the right length and tension they would work...

Did you get springs from a mil vehicle supplier or what?

Yes I did they are for an M37 24V dist weight and spring set. One spring is larger than the other and all photos of M715 dist the springs appear to be of equal size. Very curious indeed. Vern

hmmm...I am of the belief that the distributor part is the same between the M37 and the M715 EXCEPT for the shaft that is pinned to the bottom in order to drive the distributor which is the only part that makes it specific to a specific motor...so whether the springs would work in either...should work.

Wish I had access to the M37 stuff to see if their pics show a difference in size that you are finding...

The springs come in a set so I can't tell if one is bigger or not. I also did a cross to the M-37 and M-715 Military TM parts book and there is no FSN for the M-715 but there is a "part" number for the M-37 and no match. Some other parts are the same. The FSN numbering system was after the M-37 so no FSN cross.

In the old Memphis and ABlinn parts books the numbers are the same as the military TM however the ABLinn for the M-715 indicates the weights are the same so I don't know why the springs would be different unless the attachment point is different so needing a longer spring.
