For those of you running the exhaust fording stack

Watch the welds where the mounting bracket is welded to the expanded steel. I ruined my first one by hooking it on a tree branch in the woods. I picked up another and the welds are starting to fail from road vibration. I DO NOT have my exhaust running through the stack as per AB linn's suggestion. I have it exiting right next to the stack ready for hook up. The power loss is significant when it is hooked up. If you guys run like that or you have a lifted rig that is a rough ride. Watch your welds. These things are getting expensive. Catch it early.

Keep in mind I am runing without being hooked up to the exhaust. I think that takes away alot of the support it needs to actually last. I think if it were hooked up it would not be an issue.

What about leaving it hooked up, but put a capped cutout where it turns up? 99% would not notice it isn't stock, you'll have the support, and just screw on the cap when you need (if ever) the fording stack?

Thats a good option. I sure did notice the difference when it was hooked up.

One of these days I'm going to find a place to actually use the stacks. It would be weird seeing water three inches up from the bottom of your windsheild!!
