A few weeks back someone posted about changing from the military generator to the altinator. We e-mailed back and forth and he asked me where he could find one...Well stupid me deleted the message by mistake...anyway here is the answer finaly. Most M series surplus dealers have them. But here are a few you can take a look at.
T.W. Murray (mostly M151 and M35, but a GI alt is a GI alt just the pulleys are different) www.tnjmurray.com
CME Arma Inc. Miami FL, 305-633-1524 (not cheep but supose to be good company will rebuild gens also)
Rapco www.rapcopartscompany.com (Mark is a great guy and he may or may not have one, but might know where to get one.)
Riv-Rad Inc www.muttparts.com (mostly m151 stuff, but again it is a mill standard part.

These are also good sources for parts that are military standard like light switches etc.

Sorry for the delay in getting this info out.

The original alternator in my deuce truck looked identicle to the 715 alternator. It went bad and I decided not to go back to 30+ year old tech and went to an alternator shop and bought a new 24V one wire jobbie.
