    Default Gear gurus needed

    Hey guys,
I want to say that I remember seeing somewhere that the 4.88 gears will fit the same carrier or locker as the stock gearing. If one opted to go for a higher ratio than the 4.88's a new carrier would be needed. Does this sound correct? I did a quick search, but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for, Thanks, Jay Dog.

The carrier "break" (the difference between carrier types) is 4.56 gears. 4.56 is the highest (numerically lowest) gears you can put in our stock axles using the stock carrier. 4.10's and down you'll need to get a different carrier. You can put 4.56 gears (which you can apparently get from Randys R&P) in the stock axles.

    Correct...4.56 is the line.

As far as gear choices, 5.13, 4.88 and 4.56 have been made for our stock M715 axels...but the 4.56 is the only one I know of that is still available.
