    Default Master cylinder issues

Ive read all brake/ master cylinder posts i could find. My problem is my new MCA76162 master cylinder(which i was told is the equivalent to the desired F66857 master cylinder) mine does bolt right in but the pushrod which is original is too long. Either i got the wrong master cylinder or pushrod through the firewall needs to be cut down. Before i move forward and cut the only pushrod i have, i want to make sure I'm not making a mistake.

You have a stock master cylinder pushrod? Do you have a stock master cylinder?

Seems with those, you could figure out what the needed length from the pushrod seat on the factory master to the brake pedal is and make sure your pushrod is the right length...then compare to the new master and see whats different...

If you dont have a stock master, maybe someone can measure one they have...

Id hate to see you cut that rod in error too...
