How many RPMs will this 230 Tornado stocker give before it refuses to produce power to a rear with 3.89 gears? Barrman?

With 3.89 gears you would be hurtin to move at all in my opinion. I wouldnt run anything less than 4.56s

    I wouldnt push the 230 past 4400 rpms...ever.

The civvy trucks ran gears down in the high 3 to tow 4 range...those were trucks from 3200 pounds roughly up to 4500 pounds.

I think 4.56 in an M715 is getting there as far as top end gears go...but I do know a member who, after a springover with the stock drivetrain, put on 40 inch tires and 4.56 gears and drive it highway and trail and likes it...seems a bit over the top to me, as far as losing bottom end and being slow of the line, but it works for him.
