    Default Truck updates of sorts....

    19 August 2016
    Newport News, Va.

Hi everyone! Well we have progress. Doors are installed now. I think it was Dave From Delta who sold me the decals but they are AWESOME! Perfect! Floated them in place with a spritz of water and BOOM! PERFECT!

Doors hung beautifully. Body lines matched like a charm. Sure it's no 58' Thunderbird but we have a 1967 military truck that's been through hell and back so everything looks good to me! Even after my garbage bodywork work, they still came out good.

Vent windows installed and waiting on some gaskets to arrive and then we will install the roll up windows.

I went with 24VDC window wipers and hid the wires in old school vacuum hose to mask as much as I could.

Bed heads to the sandblaster/painter tomorrow.

Yes, the old PRC-77 works (W4CPO) and the old steel pot is actually mine from my old days.
    Hope you all enjoy.

Looking good! I'm glad you like the decal set. Let me know if you need any others.

That does look good. I was originally going to go with my Germany markings, black, no star, OD bridge plate. But you guys are twisting my arm to mark it in the US colors. But as I look back, it was a mix of white and black.

Gosh, I thought that after I got older, I would not have to make decisions...

    Help me!!!

That's kind of the route I took.

Reading this thread really made me wish I would have painted frame, axles, engine, etc., but circumstances (the truck is 150 miles away, and I only get to work on it a few days per month) just don't allow it.

Your work is amazing, your thread is inspiring-- thank you.

So when you get this truck done you're coming to Cleveland to finish my M37 right...

Nice work. Keep at it you're getting there. Have you fired it up yet and drove it?

    Default War Pig runs!!!!!

24 August 2016, Newport News, Va.

Hi all, just a quick one. Well War Pig runs. 150-160 wet compression and all is well. Still have some little adjustments to the carb and idle but fired right up!

Sorry for the Facebook link but I can't seem to figure how to post the short video here.

RATZ! OK, I'll figure some way to get the video posted. Photo bucket won't allow video so I'll have to do it another way.
