I'm planning on removing the bed from my truck next weekend, just wanted to make sure the hoist im using will be able to handle it.

4 big guys can pick it up and actually move it.

Others have also commented that the lifting eyelets at the corners will bend over if you attach to them without any kind of support for them. You might do better to run a pipe in the back and another in the front and then left off of that.

Thanks guys, the hoist I will be using is rated to 800 pounds with the boom fully extended, sounds like I won't have any trouble.

Crap. I did this last summer and I think ours was more than 500lbs(over head crane at the sand blaster read more like 600lbs.) I do know that the thing is HEAVY. I lifted it my self with a few chains and a "come- a -long", and a few creaking roof trusses in the pole barn. BTW I'm one of those guys that bent the lifting eyes, however nothing that a big adjustable wrench wouldn't bend back. Wish I had known about the pipe trick back then.
