Guys, can you change the bushings WITHOUT taking the springs off? I see no way on the back at all. Thanks,Dave.

Dont they need to be pressed out? I can see that being a big pain when they are on the truck...

Pretty sure they need to be pressed out..... if you have a portable hyd. ram maybe you could do it... but then you'd have to brace it against something... and most likely bend a part of the truck that way.. another option would be to torch them out.... but then again you'll need to press the new ones in... so that doesnt help much.

you can do it... It's a PITA either way though. Couple of suggestions:

    1) Use a ball-joint/u-joint press to press them out.
    2) Mine were more stubborn than that. I had to torch/plasma out the center/rubber pieces then once those are out you can take a sawzall and cut a score into the outer metal part of the sleeve. Once you have that all the way through you can take a chisel to the rest and punch it out.
    3) You may also have some luck with an air chisle, I used it for some of mine and it was OK, but not great.

Not worth it in my opinion. I took my springs to work and with just a few minutes per bushing on the hydraulic press, I was done. You'll be fighing those things for half a day or more if you try to do it with the springs installed.

Not a bad idea to swab the new ones with anti-seize before you install them. And NOS bushings will only give you a few years service according to my experience with various projects.

Thanks to all. I guessing off they come at some point in time. Maybe when and if I do a S O A. I might do 10 miles a year in the truck,so it's not a big deal just wondering about it.
