Thread: Headlight switch breaker?

  1. #1

    Default Headlight switch breaker?

every once in awhile I'll be driving and my lights will randomly die. I'll shut them off for a second and then turn them on again and they will work for a little while before they die again. I don't think there is any problem with the wiring shorting out so i was wandering if there is a breaker within the switch itself and if it is common for the breaker to fail... also, my truck is converted to 12 volts if that makes a difference...
    thanks
    -Brian

there is a breaker in the switch it isnt serviceable though , it has come up alot here before about that breaker triping on 12v conversions it was related to add a relay in the wiring to the headlights. it was just a few post ago it was under light switch or 3 way switch
