Here is a 95 Jeep XJ master cylinder, booster, and porportioning valve on my 715. It works great.

Thankyou for the information on e-bay motors. I never thought about them. Lots of sweet stuff in there.

Also, I've decided to take the MC and booster off of a 79 F-250 I have, since that is essentially J-series Jeep p-up stuff, and mate them to the 715. I'll let you all know if it is successful.

    Default M715 Mc

    Hallo,
the easyest is to use a CJ7 MC for drum/drum with one inch diameter, which I use since some 16 years. I recently added a hydraulic booster, so braking is like a passenger car. For brake balance use on the rear axle 15/16 inch wheel cylinders (ex. EIS EW9150/EW9151 or Raybestos WC17509/WC17510); the pinholes for the 2 screws must be made fit with a file, everything else fits. Breake performance is like a modern truck without rear wheel locking. Trust me. I use these cylinders since 4 years in German traffic conditions without any problems since more than 10000 miles.

I used a Gm master cylinder from a chevy one ton, disc, drum type. It was a direct bolt on with no mods for the length of the push rod. It stops very well. I have the helitool front discs, stock drums on rear. I would recommend this to anyone. I'm not sure how it would work with stock drums front. I'll bet it would be just fine. Simple to install, unbolt your stock mc, bench bleed the new one and install, bleed brakes, and change the lines around as stated above for the Jeep Mc. The part number is on the Ugly truckling website under master cylinder upgrade for the M-37, same for the M-715. I couldn't use a brake booster setup because I installed a hydraulic clutch setup, I'd rather have and easy clutch pedal with car like pedal and feel, it also works wonderful. Good luck on your choice.
