stock tires?
Post by m725kid19 on Nov 16, 2006, 8:07pm This may be a stupid question but I'm new with these trucks. What tires were stock for the m725's? I have Goodyear Xtragrips on mine and I'm pretty sure those aren't the original. I do have a tire that looks original mounted underneath, but i haven't had an opportunity to look at it. |

Re: stock tires?
Post by compexp on Nov 19, 2006, 3:55pm the stock NDTs have another nickname - No d**n Traction. They suck on the street and in serious mud. Plus, they are bias ply and don't ride well. Most of us run 36 or 38" radials - I have Super Swampers and have had good luck. The XLs are 38" high, cheap as surplus, and do pretty well traction wise. I personally would prefer the XZLs, which are more of an all-terrain than the XLs, but they're harder to find. |

Post by m725kid19 on Nov 19, 2006, 5:07pm do the XL's fit on the stock rims or do i have to replace those? also what size XL is the right one? also do those fit without rubbing on a stock suspension set up? |

Re: stock tires?
Post by rpgdeity on Nov 19, 2006, 5:52pm The 11r16 XLs fit on a 16 inch rim (stock rim is 16"), and are 38" diameter. These will fit without rubbing on a stock suspension. There are larger size XL's, but they have different rim sizes as well as being to large to fit with a stock suspension. |
