    A bit of trivia that might be helpful to someone: the 3 prongs on the 12v turn signal flasher are the same as the 3 prongs on the back of headlight bulbs. I'm converting to 12v and installed a new turn signal system. Unit came with a flasher but no socket. My new headlight socket fit the flasher perfectly: soldered up the wires and it works like a champ. I got heavy duty sockets from Autozone. The NAPA sockets I bought were so flimsy I took them back.

    That is one of those cheap tricks that I was shown years ago and keep forgeting to tell people about.
    Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
