Someone makes, or made a limited slip diff that uses gears to limit the slip instead of clutch packs. I am at a loss right now. Anyone know the name to help me out?

The Auburn Tru-Trac is the same basic design, uses loading of spiral gears to limit slippage. I have one in my Land Rover, . .works excellent, ..open diff on the road, locks up when loaded, . . A really nice setup for a rig that spends most of its time on pavement. I don't know if they are available for stock M715 axles, but later stuff they are.
I would think the 'Tru-trac' is stronger, if it's available.
I have a " DETROIT LOCKER " on the rear of my 715. it is not air supplied like you see on some current new truck's. By the way, am new to the board so HELLO to all ! TOM
Welcome to the Zone, Tom!
Snuffy , thanks for the greeting, I did not mean to inject myself too deeply into this topic, but with the Detroit Locker in the rear , and a Power Lock up front with WARN locking hubs, I can tell you that as long as that I have some solid footing under the wheels/tires this truck will literally go anywhere . NOT bragging, just with the Granny Low 1st gear & LOW Range in the transfer case with the 5.87 gears it is just about unstoppable. Semper Fi ! tom
