    Chevy engine to T98 question
    Post by usmc25 on Sept 7, 2006, 12:21pm

I have a 350 with an adapter connected to a T98 transmission. Would one of the big block chevy engines bolt up to the same adapter? Is the bolt pattern on the rear of all the chevy V8's the same? Also, would a T98 hold up to the big block power? Thanks.

With the exception of 60* v-6's like the 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4 liters, all straight 6, v-6, and v-8 CHEVY engines share a common bell housing pattern. Personally, I wouldn't be afraid of running a T-98 behind a fat block.

People have run upwards of 450 HP through the T98....unless its abused, its pretty tough.
