I think I re geared too high, I went with 4:10's and got xl-20's, what are they, 42" ? I'll probably have to keep it 1:1 and just use the gear vendors for split shifting when pulling. Should have thought that out better.......
Good to know guys, thanks for all the input! Are most of you running sticks or auto? I just want something O/D that is super durable. Haven't seen anything real great on the autos unless you want to spend thousands to upgrade....I know the NV's are supposed to be OK, I wasn't sure about the Getrags...No way I will go bigger than the 38's...as it is I am concerned about the gooseneck clearing the bedsides.....
Is that real money?
Updates?
Thanks for asking....amazing how fast the time goes and life gets in the way Have some sheetmetal at the blaster now, got a 6.0/ NV4500 running for $800. I should be putting up some pics soon (first time here so we will see how it goes). Still trying to figure out axles. Been trying to keep my "running" truck running and I actually bought a new to me tow rig which of course is another project....

Oh no...wait wrong Jeep. That is the middle brother....
So....I think I have most of a plan. Picked up a Chevy 6.0 and NV4500 out of a running truck for $800 complete from radiator to driveshaft. Also picked up a disc brake Dana 70HD for $125. Looking for a dually Chevy front 60 with 4.10's if anyone knows of a deal. planning on running the duals with H1 wheels at this point unless I hear of a reason not to....I have had a divorced Dodge 205 for a while now. Had to go out and scrape the tag a couple weeks ago as I heard there was a common and less desirable tcase and I was not positive it was a 205...
And now what everyone wants....PICTURES. My hybrid 715....It is going GREEN...

I have a buddy that works at a sheetmetal shop that may be able to help me out, I was thinking that by the time you slice the lip (or hem?) off, roll a patch, and weld it back on, might as well start from scratch....So I think that is my plan, for now...
Looking into making an aluminum "cage"/ rack for aesthetics and use as I occasionally move long stuff that is nice to have a rack for ...Maybe aluminum conduit? Researching bendable, weldable grades, sizes and shapes..

For those of us that don't have CAD and CNC...These were really well priced and should be great with the LQ4...For anyone that did an "LS" swap...what did you use for exhaust manifolds/ headers? I want to get as much torque as I can out of the smallblock so I was going to go for longtube headers...But hesitant to spend money when I don't know what might fit....
