Thread: Leaf spring post mounts.

  1. #1

    Default Leaf spring post mounts.

I owned a 715 trailer 30 years ago in dallas but I had to sell it in my move to the PNW.
I found a very nice trailer up here but the spring mounts were removed and generic trailer hangers were welded under the frame and a 1/2 ton Chevy axle installed.
I found a pair of axles with tires and springs still mounted but only the rear rear posts are there so I need to come up with rear front posts to put the 70 back underneath.
Other than machining a new one are there any ideas out there for the front mount?
    Thanks.

I really can’t recall in the past 20 plus years I have been coming to the Zone daily every having read that question before. Good job for originality.

To actually answer your question I think you would be hours and hours of labor ahead looking for someone parting out a frame and getting them.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
