Thread: 725 (maybe 715) window channels?

Default 725 (maybe 715) window channels?

Found that the felt in the window channels need to be replaced in our 725 windows. I've been digging through JC Whitnety for a while, and they have a lot of options.

Wondering if anyone has done this and what part they used. I wouldn't mind replacing the whole channel with something new if I can find something that fits good.

    Thanks,
    Jason

If it is the the guide channel felt that the window slides in when you raise or lower it I used the soft side of velcro with an adhesive back on it along with weather strip adhesive. The sticky back was probably enough but I had the other so I threw it in there too. I think it was an 1 1/2 wide strip and then I trimmed it off. It works great and the windows don't rattle around anymore.

    Good idea.

ABLinn had one set of 725 window felts left a couple of years ago - not sure if he still does or not.

Charles, try Memphis or some of the FSJ places. Nice to see you around. You coming up in March for the gathering?
