Default Tires and rims- pulling the trigger

Ok, after reading and surfing I’m thinking of pulling the trigger. Getting trailworthy fab 17 rims and 37 tires. Versions of the 9.00-16 lt are scarce as hens teeth. The other ones I’ve seen mentioned on this site are just as expensive. I’m thinking about getting the trail fab rims and 17 tires. How many of you have got them? Opinions?
My reasoning is, I can get 4 for the same price as new tires. After , I can find 17” a lot easier.
Tell me the experiences you have had.

I was confused when you asked this on FB.

Are you talking about the TWF 'Double D' 17" wheels? They're $500 per wheel.

At $2k in wheels and $1200-some for 37"/17" tires, those 900-16 must be crazy expensive!

I just run $100 surplus 37r16.5s, cause I'm cheap (and have Ford axles). I'd love some DDs.

When I talked with the guy from trsilworthy fab, he had offered the tires and wheels for around 350$ you them start adding stuff. He had mentioned the 17’s saying it would be easier to find tires for this size. I’m a real tire novice. I have all stock axels and rims currently. The tires are starting to go. I am seeing some crazy prices out there. I think I can still get corkers for around the 350 range. Just wanted to see if and upgrade, or just something different would be worth it.

I am guessing I’m not, seeing the trail worthy link you just posted. Guess I might head towards the 16.5

I’ve had mine for several years and like them very much.
