    Default Serial Number location

Is the serial numbers that match the plate number on the dash stamped into the frame. If so what is the location of these numbers. Thanks for all the help.

I believe that should be stamped on top of the frame in over the passenger side of the rear axle and on top of the frame on the passenger side in the engine compartment right near the radiator support.

Just finished sandblasting and painting my frame yesterday and yes, thats exactly where I found them. They were lightly stamped and I had to look hard to find them but they were there. Kinda near the upper shock mount on the pass. side rear, on top.

Use a fine sandpaper, blow it clean, then rub the area(s) with white chalk, then wipe. It might help make the lightly-stamped numbers stand out a bit.

I used a brass bristled brush a little bigger than a toothbrush and some gasoline.

They are VERY lightly stamped on mine. Even after I found them in the rear (never found in front) I couldn't read all of the numbers. A little red paint and then resanding got them more visible.
