Default Let's talk more about power brakes.

OK, I've also decided that it's time for power brakes on my junk. I'm currently running 4-weel discs on CUCV axles with a corvette master.

I've seen a couple of other setups, I think somebody used an XJ dual diaphragm booster. I've heard this can be used in conjunction with a dodge 1-ton van MC... Which is what I'm leaning towards at the moment.

Anybody have any other setups that work well? Recommendations? Thoughts?

I'm using a ZJ master/booster and with the stock drum brakes it stops excellent. I'd think it would work just fine with the 4 wheel discs. The ZJ had drums on the rear, so an adjustable proportioning valve might be in order.

I liked this setup mainly because the physical size of the booster was easier to work with.

Be sure to consider the residual pressure valve in the disc/drum m/c when going to 4-wheel disc.

    HYDRO BOUST.
I was using a 90's vac booster and vet master. It stopped so so ok. I changed to a hydro boost when I put the 6.2 in. I still don't have the peddle touch yet. I will lock all 4 and put you in the windshield.

I have a "modern" set of D60/D70 in my J300, with hydroboost. Brakes are better than some cars I've had.

another vote for hydroboost. easy to make work, and with the cucv axles 4 wheel disks, my truck stops better than my 04 chevy. the brakes are probably my most favorite thing on the truck

What master cylinder are you using with the cucv disk brakes?
