Toss the springs all around, cut some plywood bases and then pick up some 4" high-density foam for the bottoms, and some 2" high-density foam for the backs. Works quite nicely in my 715.

I picked up a set of new seat covers in canvas from Vintage Power Wagons for $110.

Yes the springs offer poor support an tend to give a very bouncy ride w/ lots of bottoming out also. Actually I have seen premoulded foam bottoms for the duece seats but im not sure who has any, maybe they know at steel soldiers.

Weebee Webbing has the foam for the seats, but it costs as much (or a bit more) than their covers. I bought enough from a local fabric store to do both seat with some left over at $65.00. I just trimmed it to shape with an electric carving knife.
