Thread: Stock drivetrain worth anything?

  1. #1

    Default Stock drivetrain worth anything?

Finally getting ready to start the build on my 67 M715.
Plan is to replace the entire drivetrain (motor, trans, transfer case, axles). Are the stock pieces worth anything of should I just plan on scrapping them?

A lot depends on what's up with it all. Is the motor running? All stock with 24v stuff or has it been converted to 12v? They don't fetch very much money but before scrapping it post what you have and I bet you can get local guys to pick up what you have to keep their M715's running.

    Thanks for the reply.
It ran till the points got pitted. Bought new ones but decided to drop in a Cummins instead of monkeying around with the stock set up.

If the motor has all the 24v pieces, I might be interested in it all to add in to my spare rack.
