Brake line ID w/ progress pics
    Post by 40grit on Jul 8, 2006, 5:39pm

I've finally made some forward progress on my 715...got the frame cleaned up a little, rust converted and rattlecan'd flat black..
I'm starting to run fuel, brake, vent lines...
Can anyone ID these brake lines? I got the full set from Classic tube and had them figured out on the zone, but lost that info with everything else...

this is the front right, with the front left tiewrapped to it, i think..

rear brake line, Is this where this goes, why is there some heat resistant sleeve up near the tranny cross member?

    lines I'm not sure of.

the front looks right. although my front pass. ran on th inside of the frame all the way around. where yours runs on the out side from the shock tower to front x member drivers side.

the rear looks right aswell. can't say why the heat sheild is there, mine had cloth wrap in that area.

Mark, the rear runs through the 2 or 2 1/2 inch hole in the crossmember and tucks inside the frame rail on mine. The front wraps the inside of the frame as suggested above. In your pic you can see the holes for the "one hole" clamps that hold it to the front crossmember.

I took some pictures of Fisherman's rolling chassis that clearly shows all the lines. I mean, his chassis shows the lines, but who knows how well my pictures show it!

Oh, and post full-size pics, eh? Quit with the thumbnails! It's an extra step I have to go through and I'm lazy.
