Strange E-mail from the Zone

Recieved a strange E-mail today from the Zone saying that I have recieved a private message. I did not click on the links provided. I went to the Zone and logged in, there were no private messages in my box. Went back to the e-mail and read what was there without opening any links, I'm a little paranoid about that. The message stated that I have viruses in my computer and to click the link to view. Message claims it was sent by member Maninblack. I checked the members list and did not see this name. Not sure if someone is trying something with us or if it was actually ligit.

I got the same e-mail.

I almost clicked the link but didn't. I figured I'd log in here and see the message but I didn't have any.

I'm almost 100% sure it's some sort of scam or will give you a virus.

there's a "Your comp has virus's" thing going around that's a to get rid of if you let it run very long.

It loads spyware/virus's on your comp as it "scans" for them, then it finds hundreds of them (that it planted) and offers to remove them for a small price, if you pay, and keep running the great software that cleaned your comp, it happens again (and again) in the future.

run ccleaner, malwarebytes anti malware, and ComboFix

they're all free. Download them (search google) and update them, then run them one at a time and the'll get rid of most anything that's junk on your machine.

I have Norton and Webroot, seems to have been doing a good job so far. Ran scans after recieving the e-mail, all was fine. Thanks for the feedback.

received the same email ..... get back on the board and found nothing ..... !! i never thust those kind of warnings
