Default A needed Day off...

I took the day off yesterday and went up to my claims. The dogs needed a good run also. It was a glorious day!

Thar's GOLD in them thar hills!

I should have that truck running today.

The engine runs great! But...

...the engine oil leak will not stop. It's not just a leak, it's a deluge. The oil gushes out of the back of the engine. I have changed to a different oil pan, and I have changed oil pan gaskets 3 times. That didn't stop the leak. I pulled the engine twice and I dropped the transmission and bell housing, clutch and flywheel to see if I could find the problem. I cant seem to fix it.

I tightened the core plug on the rear of the engine. That didn't work either. The only other thing it could be is a faulty rear main seal. This is supposedly a warranty item, but the manufacturing company technician will not respond to my email questions, or even call me back, so I have filed grievances with eBay and PayPal to get my money back. F***ers!

My son and I have cumulatively put 120 hours into this engine replacement project. We took great care and put all of our love into it. I sent some of these photos to the manufacturing technician. I even sent video of the oil leak, which increases with engine RPM increase.

I have one chance left...I called the salesman who sold it to me and asked to have the truck taken to a local licensed shop to have it fixed. If the problem is their fault, then they should pay for parts and labor.

I have spinal surgery on July 10th. I am running out of time. At least I have pain pills...haha.

Default Update:

I took the truck to a shop. I just ran out of time to fix it myself and any additional work to isolate the oil leak would have been the responsibility of the manufacturer.

As it turns out, the rear main seal was sort of bulging out from it's channel, which caused a problem with the oil pan gasket which caused the leak.

Those parts and labor are the responsibility of the manufacturer. I am told the truck will be done on Tuesday, June 23.

News at 11:00 as to whether the manufacturer will pay for parts and labor...

My surgery went well. I am on the mend. Three more weeks and I get out of this neck brace of shame...haha. Then I can get back to working on my truck.

Default M715 is finally home!

The Jeep came home today. Three weeks in the shop.

The reason for the oil leak is...wait for it...

Now let's see how long it takes the warranty company to pay me back the $973 for repairs.

...wait for it...

...keep waiting for it....

haha
