    Power Steering hose alternative

I just ordered a bunch of this stuff from Speedway motors:

Mine required (2) 5/8 and (1) 11/16 adaptors to go from the inverted flare fittings to AN -6 fittings.

    http://tinyurl.com/f5m5s
From this page I ordered 3' of -6 hose, (2) 90 degree -6 hose ends and (1) - 6 straight hose end. The 4th hose end will hose clamp onto the return nipple on the back of the pump.

It's about $75 worth of parts for something that I can make fit perfect and I don't have to waste mine and the partsboy's time trying to pick a useable hose set out of the parts book.

When that stuff comes in, I'll be doing the PS install and adding the 4th sleeved mounting point.

Just a different route if someone is looking.

yep. totally agree, that's how I did mine, but I had to use the metric o-ring to AN. You'll like it.

Cool site! A friend of mine was going to machine those fittings for our P.S. systems. Just in time, I can stop him. Thanks for posting that.

Yea Speedway is cool. Grab their street rod and race catalogs - lots of good stuff in there tho the race catalog caters a lot to the midwestern dirt trackers.
