Thread: Needed: Winch frame bracket mounting pic.

    .... ok Understand the frame extension and two piece bumper but how does the cross member mount that the winch is mounted on? It appears to have two siding brackets inside it, etc.etc Which end is up, etc?

    Tom, The tabs with 2 holes are on the top. M1028

    do they face front or rear? I'm thinking front.

    Here's my winch bolted together on the floor. Note the two mounts on the front bumper. Hold the cross member with the two mounting tabs opposite of the ones on the bumper. Plus watch you're bolt hole alignment in the front of the frame with the cross member. You will see where it goes.
    In case you don't know, you're carrier bearing mount goes on the bracket for the alternator. That has been a frequent question.



    EDIT: Not sure what I'm doing wrong on the pic.

    For another pic, check out the "Misc. Photos" tab on the "Main Menu" on the left hand side of this page. Go to page 4 about half way down. Good front view of a really nice 715 w/ winch.
