    i think i,am just gonna put the ramsey electric 8000 lb winch on the rear of my off road m715 bobber. sure hope it will be big enough ?? or i could use it on my car trailer too !!!!!!! i took it off the for sale board till i decide if i want to sell it for sure. WELL i just got some info on my winch, its a re 8000 model with a 360 to 1 ratio and costs over a grand andhas a lifetime warrantee !!!!!! yep eeeee its made for 1 ton trucks so i guess it will do what ever i need. and the selinoid is just 38.00 bucks from summitt yep eeeee

    Over a grand??? not for a Ramsey!! well, that might be list price..

    anyway I have one of those myself, and I think I'll be using a snatch block just to make sure.

    Winches rock. That is all!

    Really is kinda small for a full size truck, just be careful with it, and like Taco said, use a snatch block.

    6000lbsx1.5= 9000lbs

    MINE IS THE RE SERIES, ITS EXTRA H/D COMPARED TO THE NEW STYLE THERE MAKING NOW. IT WEIGHT ALMOST 35 LBS MORE THAN THE NEW RAMSEYS. ALSO IT HAS A 360 TO 1 GEAR RATIO WHICH IS QUITE A BIT LOWER THAN THE NEW RAMSEYS. SNATCH BLOCK FOR SURE THOUGH !!!

    RE series Ramseys are worm gear drive. Slow, but much more reliable than the planetary crap that everyone uses these days. They will outlast a planetary winch by years...

    SURE LOOKED MORE H/D THAN THE ONES ON EBAY AND ALOT HEAVYER ALSO IN WEIGHT.
