    Paint Opinion Help
    Post by sprm715 on Jul 29, 2006, 1:52am

I am in the process of finishing my m715. So far I have made it into an extended cab shortened the bed 14 inches for the extended cab. Put a f350 drivetrain. 4 wheel disk brakes and it has the 5.4 out of the ford. It is riding on the michelin 46 tires. All the fabrication
will be done next week. Ran out of Welding gas tonight and am shot for the weekend. No one fills tanks on the weekend. With all that said I am thinking of painting the truck the new jeep emerald green and rhino lining the bed and flat fenders and rockers. My wife will be cruising to the store here and there with the kids and she likes the color. My two military buddy's are in paint battle one says tan the other says OD. Thoughts? Its not the ordinary m715 and it straight as an arrow on every side. I also have a fiberglass hood with a 3 inch cowl on it. Give me your thoughts on Paint colors.

    No shiney colors...LOL

I dunno, Warwick's looks darned good with his paint scheme, but i tend to side with the tradtional OD green.

Oh, and don't be talking about that many mods and not post pics....it's just plain rude!

Yeah, you're gonna need pics or one of us is going to ban you.

Shiney colors just look weird on these trucks.

Here are some old shots when I was fitting it together. I will snap the latest photos this weekend. These are about 2 months old. All the sheetmetal work is done now and very straight I cut the extended cab off 3 times until I was happy the way it looked. You can get a rough idea from these shots.

If you want it shiny, build a J truck. Anything built from a M-series needs to be done in O.D.
