    Detroit for front
Post by rickyr on Nov 22, 2006, 12:08pm

I have had my old D-60 locker sitting around for 3 years just collecting dust. I have renewed my interest in my M-715 lately, and want to install this locker.
I originally had it in the rear of my CJ-7, but had to go to 35 spline spool and axles, since the 30 spline wasn't strong enough.
It is a 4.10 carrier size, but I know that I can get a spacer and bolt set to compensate for the difference in ring gear thickness.
My question is, will this 30 spline locker work in my front?
    Thanks, Ricky

I dont know if it will work, but I've had Detroits front and back on mine for a few years and it works very well in the snow, mud, Ice just be carefull around corners and its fine. I do have power steering so thats not an issue.

Thanks for the info, so I guess it is the same carrier????
Yes, I do have locking hubs and power steering. I am used to lockers and their ill manners on the street.
We do have lots of mud and very little snow or ice.
I got the rear locker Monday, so I now have a weekend project when it quits raining..
    Have a great Turkey Day.
