The military hard top was a 2 piece steel unit that was flat on top with rounded edges. I have only seen 1 of those in person the past 20 plus years of being in this world.
The forest service trucks had metal riveted to the soft top frame. Mine has one of those. Here is a video showing how it looks along with some other top tidbits:

I have only been around 2 fiberglass tops of unknown origin. Both had figment troubles.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

There was also a military unit with an angled top piece, high in the rear...would be the most preferred one to me, if you could find one, as they allow more head room than the flat top for those of us who stick up that high...
I cant recall the number of times I hit the roof of my flat top hard top...learned to duck on bumps...btw, I'm 6'6"...
