Thread: 14 bolt debate

    Default 14 bolt debate

Debating with my son on the 14 bolt to look for, can anyone chime in and settle it for us?

Based on reading we both agree it needs to be full floating.

Based on width, seems like the DRW is the way to go and run it with a single wheel.

Will a SRW work as well or will it be too narrow?

    Thanks in advance!

Depends. Do you have the front axle yet? If you have a GM Dana 60 dually front axle you can get a GM dually rear axle and run SRW hubs on it with the Humvee wheels and tires and it fits pretty good. Be aware the C&C dually axles are shorter than the pickup dually axles.

That's exactly what I'm running right now. Dana 60 dually front & Dana 70 dually SRW 70. I had the WMS to WMS stretched to 77" and runs stock hummer wheels. Hillybilly Wizard for the axles and Trailworthy Fab for the wheels. I also had a locker put in the rear.
