    cargo cover stops?
    Post by oddave715 on Aug 25, 2006, 3:04pm

I remember there being a post about this a long time ago. But I can't find it, so on the cargo cover bows there was a piece that bolts to the upright piece of wood to keep it from going all the way down. Does anybody know the dimensions of them. I plan on making some for my truck. Dave

I think they're just rectangular metal. Mine are buried somewhere in my garage.

There are also two connecting rods that mount to the center of the bows hooking them together down the center of the top. Does anyone use them? Or are they useless?

I think they'd be fairly necessary to prevent the canvas from pulling the end bows inward. All they are are a couple pieces of conduit with pinched ends. Pick the conduit up at Home Depot, cut them with a hack saw, put the ends in a vice and drill a hole in the ends.
