Thread: weird turn signal problem

    front turn signals work fine.
left turn signal on, no left rear.
right turn signal on, rear hazards on.
hazards on, rear hazards on. again the fronts work correctly. all bulbs are good. they worked till last week, that i know of. any ideas?

i did find that an inproper front signal ground causes VERY weird light problems

FYI the 24 volt flasher and turn signal control work fine on 12 volts.... and its waterproof

Default Free 230 engine, complete with accessories

Thats the later style, non giagantic distibution box type, thats working on 12 volt right?
Did you check the rear light wires for continuity to ground...possible short somewhere...though you have new wiring dont ya?
    Sounds pretty goofy to me...

Sounds all the world like a bad ground. You're on the right track...

I would agree with bump_r on the possibility of a bad ground BUT you say you have new wiring.. Did the problem start when you put the new wireing in or had the wireing been in for a while?? If the problem started when you rewired it then I would think you wired the Right turn signal into the rear marker lights..

Ground!!! Put internal/external star washers on your bolts to your lights. I have seen that many times, Also the flasher box should have three wires going to it in the connector and one of them should be to ground. Make sure it's grounded real good.
