    Default Hummer Wheels

I am usually a lurker trying to learn all I can, but this time I can't find anything particular to my search. My M715 has CUCV axles and I know (or at least think I do) that Hummer rims have the same bolt pattern. My question is whether I will need to get them recentered or not. Is anyone currently running CUCV axles with Hummer rims? and if so what is required to do it?

They are the same bolt pattern but you would need to recenter them. PIRATE 4X4 has companies that sell them on their site.

The back spacing on them is extreme.

Thanks for the quick answer. Much appreciated.

maybe, maybe not. Aren't the CUCV axles a bit wider than our stockers?

If they are wide enough to make up the additional backspacing on the stock H1 rims, you might be alright. On the other hand the stock H1 rims don't look near as good as the recentered ones.

They hit the ball joints and tie rod ends on the CUCV axle. They will bolt onto the back and actually spin. If the axle is not in a truck. They won't even spin on a front axle not mounted to anything.

However, a early '90's Ford 8 lug axle will take them with no modifications. Write BigWheel Bob for more info. He has such a Ford on his lot.

The HMMWV rims can be used on CUCV Axles, or Dodge Axle (basically the same) but you have to either have them recentered or put a 2" spacer the hubs. Recentering them changes the look of the rim and they don't look right, Adding a 2 inch spacer moves them to the outside of the fenders. Plus the cost of the spacers

You can also use dually hubs and spacers for the rear.

I am liking this hummer wheel/tire combo more everyday. Where are you guys getting these recentered and what size back spacing? Stock suspension currently with no plans to change.
