So i picked up an other wise clean and straight 715 this morning and it needs new rockers.... So i have some questions
Does anyone make a kit to fix this with the new parts etc
What else can be done if there is no kits?
What have you done?

Several companies do offer replacement parts. The civvy FSJ uses very similar parts. I am sure some other 'Zoners will chime in with details.
I usually just make my own. I usually will use thicker sheetmetal than OE, most of the aftermarket parts are slightly thinner than OE.

JCW, had some, that's where I got mine. I THINK, most FSJ's rockers will work. I THINK!
Jeep Panels made rockers for a few of us here. They are well made but you must fit them. They make the inners and outers.

I only needed the outer skin, as the sills were still very solid. I just bought a set of the Wagoneer rockers from e-bay and used the skin. They worked perfectly and were plenty long enough to wrap the back of the cab too. If you needed the sills, they wouldn't work as well, because there are cutouts for the B and C pillars on the 4 door. FSJ Cherokee 2 door rockers are hard to find and $$$ when you do.
Oh, and they were only $23 a side plus shipping.

so who has actually done this? Is replacing the rockers in and out pretty straight forward?
Are the kits adequte?
I did. If you have any experience in replacing major body panels, you'll have no problem. If not, you may need some help.
The most important thing about the M715 cab is that when you replace the rockers, and especially the inners too, you weld in some bracing before you cut or remove anything. It is very critical on these trucks because there isn't a steel top to help keep everything in alignment. Also, the rockers do not come with the rolled back edge where it ties into the back of the cab. You have to do that part yourself.
There isn't a "kit" as such. It is just the inner panel and outer panel. You supply the welder, seam sealer, labor, measuring, etc.
