    Veggie Powered M715 Anyone??
Post by superchargedrs on Aug 20, 2006, 12:24am

    Hey Everyone,
I am looking to install a GM 6.2 Diesel into a 715 (using the adapters supplied by advanced adapters or Novak); I was wondering if anyone has done this before.

My plan is to install the 6.2 (a very economical engine) with some block hugger headers, hi-tq starter and run a frybrid vegetable oil (WVO) dual tank (one veggie, one diesel) heated tank system?anyone try this one yet?

I also have been having a heck of a time finding an unmolested truck in the So. California area for this mini project of mine, so if anyone knows anyone with an m-715 drop me a line !

    Thanks,
    -James

I am in the middle of a restoration/6.2 swap. I plan on running bio fuel and possibly a veggie oil set up if there is enough room for a second tank.

I would NOT recommend an adapter kit for the trans. Just get a complete motor/trans set up. It is a lot easier and less expensive.

Where are you going to get the headers?

There is a company that makes headers, however I can't remember the name or the reason for wanting them.

The "Spicerplate" will get your engine mounted for about 10 dollars plus maybe the chevy motor mounts. Much cheaper than the manufactures you mentioned. Maybe some members who've used it will chime in and give a more accurate description.
